My 1st overseas school trip-part 5

Hi everyone!! I am so sad as the school holidays is coming to an end…. But Eid is coming soon. Yay!! Anyway today i’ll be doing part 5 of the blog.

Day 5(3 June 2016)

At 5 something in the morning both Charlene and i woke up not realizing the time even though we were suppose to wake up at 6:30am. After i finished praying, i realized that it was only just 6:00am. So since we had extra time, we took our time to get ready. After we were ready we chilled on the bed while i chatted with mommy and Charlene read a book. Then we went for breakfast then went to a museum(i forgot the name). The museum had a lot of historical things. During the museum tour, we used earphones so we could hear the guide better. After that we went to have lunch. During lunch, the weather started getting hotter. then we went to the Muslim street. At the street, we shopped a lot as the things there were so cheap. After that we went to have dinner and then went to a candy shop to  buy candy if we wanted to. I did not buy anything as i was not so sure if they  were halal and i also didn’t think i have enough space in my luggage. After that we went back to the hotel. After we showered and did our reflection we started to pack all our gifts into our bags. I chatted with mommy as i packed. after that we rested on the bed before going to bed.

so that is all for today. and here are the pictures.

My 1st overseas school trip- part 4

Good afternoon everyone!! I am so angry. I was just typing a while ago and then…. POOF!!!  It all disappeared. I already wrote a lot.  Almost at the end. Anyway I am just going to continue writing. And also as I write I am watching Running Man.

Day 4(2 June 2016)

At 6:30 am our alarm went off even though our wakeup call is at 7:30 am. We woke earlier as I needed to pray and we decided that we needed more time to get ready. While Charlene was getting dressed I packed my bag that i was going to bring along with me later, vies versa. After we were done we had a lot more time to spare. So we chilled on the bed and chatted with my mom while Charlene chatted with our other friend from another room on the hotel room phone. Then we left for breakfast. For breakfast, I ate the usual toast and water but there was also something else I ate but I can’t remember. 1st we went to a bookstore for shopping I bought 2 books for Mehr and a colouring book for me. Then we went to the great city gate of Xi’an. After lunch we went to the Terra-Cotta Warriors museum. It was so interesting. Every single statue is exactly the same as the actual person. The thumbprint, the features of the face, everything was the same as the real warrior. When we were at the museum, it started to rain. And as time pass it started to get cold very very cold that when we talk there was breath vapour coming out of our mouths. Then we went for dinner. Everyone was having dishes but Ryan and I ate crispy fried Chicken with rice. After dinner we headed back to the Hotel. When we were on our way back to the hotel I fell asleep in the bus. In the Hotel I chatted with mommy while Charlene was showering and when I was showering she packed some of her stuff in the luggage. After we did our reflection and packed in some of our stuff in the luggage, I chatted with mommy  while Charlene read her book all the way till bed time.

OK. so here are the pictures.

My 1st overseas school trip-part 3

Good morning everyone!! Today i will be continuing the 3rd part of my trip. Right now as i write, my sisters are playing with their shopkins dolls and mommy is working next to me while watching TV as well. So without further ado, here it is.

Day 3 (1 June 2016)

It was the same as the day before, our morning call was at 6:30 am except that we had some time to spare as my roommate Charlene and i did not shower in the day however we did shower at night. So as i was tying my hair, it was only about 6:55 am. So we chilled on the bed for a while before going for breakfast. After breakfast, we left for the school again. Since that day was children’s day (they call it liu yi), We had a concert and prize presentation. 2 students from our school, Charlene and Timothy, recited a poem each. And other student visitors from Russia performed as well. Some of the sang. Some of them danced. Their Chinese was as good as all of the kids in the school. The concert was amazing. However, the prize presentation was too long and many of us started to feel sleepy. After the whole concert, we went the teachers room to wait before going for lunch. For lunch we had noodles with some kind of sauce that has beef in it. It tasted like maggi a little but in had meat in it. And was better than maggi itself. Then we waited for the rest to finish their food. And again while waiting we had yogurt and cheesecake. But unfortunately, there was only 1 left. So, we cut the cake in half. After that we went to the jumble sale that they had to celebrate the children’s day. It was very very crowded and everyone was pushing each other. At the jumble sale, i bought a paper shape cutter for us to do our art works at home and i also bought Shona a rubix cube so that she would not fight with Mehr for her rubix cube. Then we went for other classes. Then we went back to the class and exchanged gifts. But i gave my last gift to another student as i could not find the girl that i wanted to give it to. Then when i saw the girl, i felt so bad i really wanted to give it to her. After that we went for dinner. For dinner we ate rice and chicken but the rest had steamboat. After that we went back to the hotel. while my roommate was showering, i called my mom. After both of us had shower, we did our reflection together and packed our bags for the next day. Then we relaxed. While i chatted with mommy, Charlene read her book. Then we went to bed.

Here are some more pictures.

My 1st overseas school trip to Xi’an – Part 2

Ramadan Mubarak to all my Muslim friends and family. Today, wait….actually tonight I will be telling all of you the 2nd day of my trip. But before that, I would like to thank everyone for reading my blogs. Now… here it is.

Day 2(31 may 2016)

At 6:30am, our hotel room phone rang. Our teacher was doing the wake-up call. Since I was so tired the night before, I did not have enough time to get ready. I quickly got up and went to the toilet to take a quick bath as I did not shower the night before. but the quick bath wasn’t that quick after all. I was late, about 10 minutes late. At breakfast, I did not get to eat as much as my other friends for 2 reasons. Reason 1: Not all the food is halal, Reason 2: I did not have much time.  After breakfast, we headed to the school we were visiting, Xi’an Hi-Tech International School.  We participated in a Primary 4 class. When we were at the school, the weather started to get very cold. Good thing we had brought our jacket to keep us warm in case it was too cold for us. The school also did not use any fan or air conditioner as the weather was as cold as using a fan. The 1st subject was English. At the start of the class we had to introduce ourselves and the students also asked questions about us and Singapore. But their English standard wasn’t as high as their other subjects. Their English language was very basic, their Science was average but their Chinese and Math was tougher than those that we did in class back here in Singapore. The student also gave us gifts and their gifts were so different from the ones in Singapore. During lunch Ryan (a Chinese Muslim boy from our school) and I went to a Muslim canteen in the school. We ate Beef, Chicken and Rice. After that we had yogurt and Cheesecake for dessert. It was delicious. I want to try to make a cheesecake at home too. Than we rested in the teacher’s room for a while before for a Chinese folk music class and many more… We also went to a Chinese folk art class where we did this kind of sewing embroidery patterns on a piece of canvas. We only needed yarn, a needle (but it is bigger than a usual needle) and a piece of special canvas. Then we left for dinner at a restaurant before going back to the hotel. At dinner the food that they served was not halal so, Cai jie jie (our other tour guide) bought Ryan and me food from another Muslim stall. We had rice, chicken and soup. During dinner, my friend, Charmaine’s glass of sprite spilled on her. When we went back to the hotel I called mommy, went to shower, did my reflection, prepared my things for tomorrow and then chatted some more with mommy. After a while I went to sleep.

So I think that is all for today. And I will try to upload my part 3 of my blog as soon as possible as tomorrow I might be out the whole day as I have filming to do. But I will try to upload it as soon as possible. So for now here are some of the pictures taken on the 2nd day. And I hope you all enjoyed today’s blog.

My 1st overseas school trip to Xi’an – Part 1

Hi! It feels so good to be blogging again. I am so sorry that I have not been writing. Anyway, today I will be telling you guys all about my trip. So here it is…

Day 1 (30 may 2016)

At 7:45am we arrived at Changi Airport Singapore. I was so so so excited as this would my very 1st overseas school trip with all my friends, but I was also feeling a little sad as it would also be my very 1st time being away from my family in a different country. As I was about to enter the immigration, I started to cry. At that time, I felt like I did not want to go for the trip, but after awhile, I felt ok and went through immigration. Since we were taking Singapore Airlines (it was my 1st time taking Singapore Airlines), we went to the counter and went through immigration clearance, then waited to board the plane. In the plane, I watched TV the whole journey to Shanghai (we transit in Shanghai before boarding another plane to Xi’an). I was so happy and I even did some word search. For lunch I ate chicken spaghetti and for dessert, we had ice cream. YAY!! After we landed, we had to walk for about another 10 to 15 minutes to the other terminal to board the next plane.

When it was my turn to check in my luggage, they said I could not board the plane as the letter ‘c’ from my passport number was missing. So my teachers and the tour guide tried their best to let me board the plane. When they succeeded, I was so extremely happy that I would not be left behind but the lady at the counter said that it was too late I cannot board the plane. My heart felt so heavy. I tried to hold my tears back and pretended to be brave.  I took my luggage and followed my teachers to break the news to my friends. Tears dripped down my face as I saw the rest of my friends going through immigration. My teacher Mrs Yong and the tour guide Mr Chan stayed behind with me. That was also my very 1st time being stranded in an overseas country. I felt so sad and hopeless. Mr Chan also said that we might even need to stay at the airport overnight. When Mr Chan went to check when the next flight from Shanghai to Xi’an is, Mrs Yong and in went to KFC for dinner.

When Mr Chan came back it was about 6pm, and he said that the next flight is at 8:30pm. My heart then felt lighter. I was happy that I would not have to stay overnight in the airport. So we took our time and ate dinner and slowly walked over to the next terminal as our flight was at another terminal. When we arrived at the terminal, we immediately got my luggage checked in, went through customs and boarded the plane. A few minutes after plane took off, I slept as I was so exhausted. Then I felt like I was being shaken so I woke up. And the Air Stewardess announced that there was a slight turbulence. It was also my 1st time experiencing a turbulence without my family. I was scared so I read some prayers in my heart and went back to sleep. After we landed, I called my mother to inform her that I was ok.

Then a very kind uncle drove us to the hotel which took about an hour, and I also slept in the car. When we arrived at the hotel I called my mother again after collecting my room card. After that I went to the room where my roommate, Charlene, was waiting for me. I put my luggage onto the chair and changed into my pyjamas. When I was going to sleep, I cried a little as I was missing my family and also felt that I wanted to go back home.

On that day, I learnt that, there will always be problems in life and that I must overcome it bravely, I was also proud of myself that I managed to sleep overnight in another country without my family with me.

Part 2 will be up tomorrow!

So here are some of the pictures I took on Day 1.

Happy Labour Day😆

Hi everyone. I have not been blogging for such a long period of time so I thought why not tell you about my day. Firstly I would like to wish you a happy labour day.

When I woke up in the morning, I used my phone for awhile ,then went to the market with papa. Then I helped mommyma cook. She made roti kirai and chicken curry.

After I showered I went to finish my homework. I finished about half of it. Later Uncle John, Aunty Manisha, Aunty Ras, Uncle Raj ,aunty Yanes , Uncle Thiaku ,Uncle Ravi ,Aunty Karam and Ludthra arrived.

When we wanted to go to the park, it started to drizzle so we have to go back. After awhile, it was not raining so we headed to the park. On the way there, it started to drizzle so we went to Downtown East instead. Then at night we walked towards the beach. I raced with Mehr many times. The sunset looked so beautiful.
When we came back I went to take a bath, ate dinner and played with the little babies.

Just now we downloaded Dubsmash and made a few videos. You can check it out on my Instagram.

Really enjoyed myself today. Cheers everyone!💜
Bye!!:)💋💞

MARCH SCHOOL HOLIDAYS 2015

Hi everyone. Sorry I have not been writing lately, but today I’ll be telling you a lot of what I have done in the past few days.

On Friday(13/3/2015) I had my first Upper Primary Games Day. YEEEEEK 😉 I really hoped my class will win 1st place, because in the past 3 years, my class was only wining 2nd place. During what my classmates and I did while we were waiting for our turn was looking at the score board. Whenever we looked at the score board, our class had the highest amount of points. I felt that we might have the chance to wining 1st place , but if another class gets a few more points than us and we win 2nd or 3rd never mind at least we got something. When they announced the 3rd and 2nd prize winners, a felt extremely nervous. When they announced that 4R(my class) was the 1st prize winner I was so happy that we finally won gold like after 3 years. Here is a picture of me with my gold meddle.

And here is a picture of me and my little sisters.

When I got home that day, it was around 11 or 12 o,clock. And at 5 pm I have to go for my brownies(girl guides) camp, and I will have to sleep without my parents and this will be my first time without my parents at night. This is a  picture of me and my best friend.

marchholiday 2015I managed to survive sleeping without my parents. One the first night, we went to  Gardens By The Bay Singapore to earn our observer badge. The next day,we had loads of activities such as cooking, baking, played Kim’s game etc. But than mommyma had to fetch me halfway through the camp. Because we had to go for wedding. here are some pictures of me. Just yesterday ,I went to a photo-shoot. Here are some pictures. Earlier just now, we went swimming. We only swam for one hour. Because the lighting siren went off because it was getting quite cloudy and chilly. After that we went to Mc Donald’s to have dinner. Each of us had a burger each and some fries. We also shared a large cup of sprite. After papa finished work, he bought some kebabs(wraps),otah otah etc. at a pasar malam (night market). After dinner I started on my Blog and now I am almost done coz that is basically what I can remember from the past few days, Hoped you guys enjoyed reading.
